// how it works

How Alverium works

Alverium brings every market into one spatial workstation, with a clear path to going live and local-first security throughout. This is how it fits together.

  1. 01

    Lay out your canvas

Open the panels you need (charts, order books, wallets, DEX monitors, strategy consoles, terminals and AI) on one spatial surface. They run together and link by symbol, so moving one moves the context around it.

  2. 02

    Connect your venues

Bring crypto, FX, equities and prediction markets into one place across 16 venues, spanning centralized exchanges, DEXs and traditional brokers, unified into a single execution path. On-chain activity is supported on Ethereum, Arbitrum and Base.

  3. 03

    Observe, simulate, then go live

Import strategy packages that declare their capabilities explicitly. Every strategy observes first and simulates second. It goes live only when you choose, and that step is policy-gated and kill-switched, so going live is always deliberate.

  4. 04

    Keep control of your keys

Everything is local-first. Your keys never leave your machine; they are held with layered encryption and OS keychain integration, with no cloud dependency by default. Alverium AI reads your canvas on your device, and the cloud only receives what you allow.

Frequently asked

What is Alverium?
Alverium is a spatial desktop workstation for serious traders and researchers: a boundless canvas where charts, order books, wallets, DEX monitors, strategy consoles, terminals and AI panels all run at once and link by symbol.
Which platforms does it run on?
Alverium runs natively on macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows x64 and Linux x64, on a Rust-powered backend.
How does strategy execution stay safe?
Every strategy runs through three modes: observe first, simulate second, and only then live. Going live is opt-in, policy-gated and kill-switched, and strategy packages declare their capabilities explicitly.
Where do my keys and data live?
Local-first by default. Your keys never leave your machine, with layered encryption, OS keychain integration, and no cloud dependency unless you opt in. Alverium AI (SAGE) is local by default, and the cloud only sees what you allow.
What can I trade, and where?
Crypto, FX, equities and prediction markets across 16 venues, spanning centralized exchanges, DEXs and traditional brokers, unified into a single execution path, with on-chain support on Ethereum, Arbitrum and Base.
Is the Plugin SDK open?
Yes. The Plugin SDK is open-source (MIT) and written in TypeScript. Plugins run under a three-tier security model: sandboxed community plugins, permission-gated elevated plugins, and Alverium-signed system plugins.
